Sing, all angels and people, Christ is born, nosso savior !!!
But it happened in those days that Emperor Augustus issued the order to enter the whole world in tax lists. This record was the first; at that time Quirinius was governor of Syria. Everyone went to their city to be registered. So Joseph also went up from the city of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; for he was of the house and tribe of David. He wanted to be registered with Maria, his fiancée, who was expecting a child. It came to pass, while they were there, that the days for her to give birth were fulfilled, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in diapers and put him in a crib because there was no room for her in the inn.
In this area shepherds camped in the open fields and kept watch over their flock by night. An angel of the Lord came to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them and they were very afraid. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for, behold, I proclaim to you a great joy that shall be shared with all the people: Today in the city of David the Savior is born to you; he is the Christ, the Lord. And that should serve as a sign: You will find a child wrapped in diapers and lying in a manger. And suddenly there was a great heavenly host with the angel, which praised God and said: Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to men of his good will.
And it happened, when the angels had returned from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another: Let’s go to Bethlehem to see the event that the Lord has announced to us! So they hurried to find Mary and Joseph and the child lying in the manger. When they saw it, they related the word they had been told about this child. And all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. But Mary kept all these words and weighed them in her heart. The shepherds returned, praising God and praising God for what they had heard and seen as they had been told.
When eight days had passed and the child was about to be circumcised, he was named Jesus, whom the angel had named before the child was in the womb.
