Reading from the book of Ezéchiel
Ez 34, 11-12.15-17a

Thus says the Lord God: Behold, it is myself, I will ask about my sheep and look after them.
As a shepherd looks after his flock on the day that he is among his lost sheep, so I will look after my sheep and I will save them from all the places where they go on the day of the cloud and dispersed the cloud darkness.
I, myself, will pasture my sheep and I, myself, will let them rest – saying of the Lord God.
I want to look for the lost animals, bring back the displaced, bandage the injured, strengthen the weak, protect the fat and strong. I will be her shepherd and take care of her as it is right.
But you, my flock – thus saith the Lord God -, behold, I will ensure justice between sheep and sheep.
