This saying makes us think, because how are we to lend something to the Lord? It is still easy to understand, for we are all children of God, we are united with the Lord, in unity, members of one and the same body, of which the Lord is the head. So we give it ourselves if we do something good for one of our brothers / sisters. In a community that is there for each other, every member who offers a helping hand also helps all other participants. Divine love unites people and strengthens them in all respects: in faith, in hope, in worldly matters.
