When we are far from our Lord because of our sinful life, there is only one possibility to get nearer to Him – to have regrets. Only giving up all the wrong things in us will help us to aproximate our Lord again. Not only to say : “I am sorry, it is my fault” will not help to erase the bad in us. If we regret from the bottom of our heart and afterwards continue on the way that God wanted us to go, we will be able to come nearer and nearer to Him.
Luke 17; 11-19 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
LET US BELIEVE AND REGRET AND SING UNTO THE LORD
Psalm 98:
1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2The LORD has made known His salvation;
He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
3He has remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
5Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre,
With the lyre and the sound of melody.
6With trumpets and the sound of the horn
Shout joyfully before the King, the LORD.
7Let the sea roar and all it contains,
The world and those who dwell in it.
8Let the rivers clap their hands,
Let the mountains sing together for joy
9Before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And the peoples with equity.
